Request: Create sample packaging for the launch of a new softer “firm foam” earplug, that encourages the recipient to interact with and try the product.
Considerations: Audience is the industrial safety market, specifically those who already prefer firm foam earplugs to others. The earplug features a softer feel and better fit, and the packaging should encourage handling and engaging with the product.
Solution: A series of sample boxes depicting industrial workers coined “firm foam people”, each wearing safety products from a different target market. Boxes have die-cut holes in the ears that allow the sample earplugs to actually be inserted, giving the opportunity to feel and try the earplugs in an unexpected and engaging way.
